Monsoon Point (東方能量)
By Al Gromer Khan & Amelia Cuni
NE 27142
(New Earth)

“The music of Monsoon Point is the music of divine grace. Al Gromer Khan and Amelia Cuni have created a soundscape that is at once spiritual and deeply intoxicating. It is full of passion and raw power, committed in its celebration of the fundamental beauty of humanity.”
“For SUBLIME, my first film, I was fortunate beyond my wildest dreams to have been gifted with the music of Monsoon Point. Al Gromer Khan and Amelia Cuni created music that was absolutely captivating upon first listening. I reached out to them, and was able to include their music in the film.
SUBLIME is a post modern psychological horror-thriller. It's a story about contemporary middle-class fear, and the idea that our lives can derive their purpose and meaning through the fears we are consumed by. The music of Monsoon Point was meant to counter-point these ideas, as its incredibly passionate and spiritual sound was used to bring forth a sense of the divine—a sense of the supernatural--to the film itself.” ---- Tony Krantz, director ‘Sublime'
Al Gromer Khan / Amelia Cuni, Monsoon Point-----------------On the updated cover art for Al Gromer Khan and Amelia Cuni’s Monsoon Point, there’s a depiction of a shadowed figure in a yoga pose, while the sun sets over a shimmering lake. It was a well chosen picture, because it reflects the mood of the music perfectly. Khan presents a languid landscape of synth tones that find a balance between being spiritually uplifting and soothingly mellow. This is definitely an album that is suited for winding sown or internal exploration. Adding to the album’s spiritual potency is the Dhrupad singing of Cuni, whose low, silky voice floats amidst Khan’s nuanced synthscapes. Keep this album in mind for your next yoga session—its subtle fluidity would make it perfect for concentration and slow, deliberate asanas. --- MusicDesign
